I'd rather be in the casket than giving the eulogy
Public speaking can be fear and anxiety inducing for many. During a standup routine, Jerry Seinfeld said: “According to most studies, people's number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. Death is number two. Does that sound right? This means to the average person, if you go to a funeral, you're better off in the casket than doing the eulogy.”
Whether is be a crowd of 10,000 people or a meeting of 25 people, it can be scary to speak in front of a crowd even when you are an expert on the topic. I used to get very nervous about standing in front of others and although I have worked on improving my internal management of it, my nerves still tingle when I have to present. Although practice helps built confidence, there are also many tools to help you manage your nervousness and anxiety.
